About the role
Writexperts helps organisations speak to the world—accurately, culturally, and on brand. We’re growing our network with translators, localisers, and language specialists who can transform source content into precise, audience-appropriate deliverables across formats and markets. Every project undergoes a lead-linguist quality check before final delivery (terminology, tone, formatting, and functional checks), and any newly created copy (e.g., transcreation, taglines, UX microcopy) is subject to a plagiarism screening to ensure originality and brand safety.

What you’ll do
Translate, localise, or transcreate content to brief, house style, and target-market norms.
Maintain termbases and glossaries; apply client style guides consistently.
Perform self-review and collaborate in bilingual review cycles; resolve queries fast.
Localise UI strings, SEO metadata, and in-app content; validate layout and truncation.
Prepare print/web-ready files with correct encoding, directionality, and typography.
Use CAT/TMS tools (e.g., Trados, memoQ, Phrase) and implement QA checks (LQA reports).
Protect confidentiality and handle client data and assets securely.
What you’ll need
3+ years’ professional translation/localisation experience or equivalent client track record.
Strong portfolio with domain depth (legal, financial, technical, academic, or marketing).
Proficiency with CAT tools, QA checkers, and terminology management.
Excellent writing skills in target language; keen eye for detail and consistency.
Familiarity with DTP handoff (InDesign/Illustrator/Figma) and web/app constraints (UTF-8, RTL/LTR, placeholders).
Bonus: bilingual English/French or additional language pairs; MTPE and SEO-localisation skills.
Assessment & quality assurance
Shortlisted candidates may complete MCQs on language, style, and QA fundamentals, plus translation/localisation tests (and brief writing tests for transcreation) when necessary. Live projects follow two-step QA: (1) editorial/functional quality review (accuracy, fluency, terminology, formatting, and functional checks for strings/pages), and (2) plagiarism check for any original copy elements prior to final delivery.
